Force Protection Ship Simulator (FPSS)
In support of the Center for Anti-Terrorism and Navy Security Forces (CENATNSF), Aviation Systems of NW FL (ASI) was awarded a contract by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAVAIR Orlando) to refurbish, repair/install items on the FPSS's. The Navy had previously procured these simulators, which were installed at eight locations, including Mayport FL, Pearl Harbor HI, Silverdale WA, Yokosuka and Sasebo, Japan, Chesapeake VA, San Diego CA, Groton CT, and Ingleside TX. Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT)
ASI was contracted to support the Naval Aviation Training Systems (PMA-205) Program Office and Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT) in the repair, evaluation, and rework of selected Naval Aviation Maintenance Training Systems. In addition to effecting trainer repairs and performing the actual rework of identified Naval Aviation Maintenance Trainers (NAMT’s), ASI performs evaluation of training devices to determine overhaul, modification, or repair requirements. We develop work plans, provide engineering support, provide manufacturing support, perform quality inspections, develop test procedures, and perform operational checks for Naval Aviation Training Systems. Mobile Aircraft Firefighting Training Devices (MAFTD)
The Mobile Aircraft Firefighting Training Devices (MAFTDs) provide live fire training for shore United States Navy (USN) and United States Marine Corps (USMC) installations as well as for embarked carrier based personnel through Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) training. This task order will provide the Commander, Navy Installation Command and USMC Installations Command and CNATT Schools Command technical, maintenance and training services in support of readiness objectives.
