Depot Overhaul and Modification

Overview

When depot overhaul is required our technicians perform complete overhaul including: disassembly, repair, parts replacement, modification, paint and graphics. Equipment is assembled with new parts as outlined in the work plan and a complete check-out is performed in accordance with the Manual of Operation and Maintenance Instruction (MOMI).

The Process

Training devices sent to our facility for overhaul are first stripped of all components. Each section is then sanded, primed and painted. New wiring is installed as required and components are repaired and replaced as required. The device is then reassembled and new graphics are installed.

The completed device is checked at our facility in accordance with applicable test procedures. After the equipment is shipped back to the customer, our technicians go on-site to provide setup, conduct final acceptance testing and provide operational training for unit personnel. ASI personnel have proved overhaul, modification and repair services (as ASI and NADEP Pensacola employees) for most of the training devices in the CNATT inventory.
