ASI will design and manufacture the CCPTT to train system familiarization, component identification, servicing skills and inspections, Maintenance Operational Checks (MOCs) and Remove/Install (R/I) tasks in support of the U.S. CH-47 AVUM (unit level maintenance). The CCPTT provides realistic, high fidelity and safe training for ground maintenance operations and procedures.
The CCPTT serves as the primary selected training media used by the U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School (USAALS) instructors to strengthen maintenance personnel's skills and knowledge in the following areas.
a. Acquisition of task related skills and knowledge
b. Maintenance practices and procedures
c. Use of common tools
d. Advanced skills development
e. Training environment flexibility to provide high life-cycle task performance at low cost
f. Isolation of task environments for system familiarization to support Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training
ASI will design and manufacture the CCPTT to be representative of aircraft flight control systems configuration of the CH-47 and will be populated with components that meet physical and functional fidelities of the actual operational aircraft components. The CCPTT training device will provide for training tasks to support Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 15U Helicopter Repairer training requirements. MOS 15U specialties will be supported through incorporation of selected training tasks. Systems fidelity and functionality will mirror that of the aircraft systems.
