Responsible for maintaining and modifying all the equipment used by the Air Force Aircraft Armament, Munitions, and Special Weapons schools at Sheppard Air Force Base. This includes A-10, F-15, F-16, and B-52 aircraft; a full scale B-1 weapons load trainer; and all associated trainers and related test/support equipment in the armament school. The Munitions/Special Weapons schools equipment includes bombs, missiles, rockets, warheads, guidance units, fuses, re-entry vehicles, pylons, bomb racks, launchers, penetration aids, trainers, and all related test/support equipment. Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) ASI was selected as the prime contractor for the PMEL contract at Peterson AFB, Colorado, Springs, CO in September 2009. This facility provides precision measurement on Test and Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for approximately 6,600 TMDE assets to support Air Force activities, other Federal agencies, contracts and security assistance programs.
