8(a) Business Development Program

By taking part in the 8(a) Business Development Program, contracting agencies can take advantage of simplified, faster contracting procedures, meet required set-aside goals, and get credit for using 8(a) service providers where applicable.

• Simplified Sole Source Procurement: The 8(a) program allows government agencies to procure ASI services through sole source contracting. Contracts up to $5M are allowed through 8(a).
• Streamlined Contracting: The 8(a) program specifies a rapid and greatly simplified process for engaging services. The time saved in contracting translates to faster, more effective project development.
• Enhanced Communications: The 8(a) program encourages government end-users to be in full contact with the ASI team. This allows the customer to have ultimate control over the final product.
• Fair Pricing: Numerous government-contracting offices have reviewed ASI's rates. They are always found to be fair and reasonable.
• Team Building Opportunity: Partnering and joint ventures are allowed under the 8(a) program. ASI is able to expand its core capabilities by partnering with other providers, to build a project team tailored to meet specific requirements.
• Credit Toward Set-Aside Goals: If your budget or contract includes 8(a), SDB or Small Business set-asides, you’ll get credit for using ASI services.
